Hello. I have this motherboard about 2 years ago and from the beginning the f-audio panel not working. Last year the usb not work on windows and after restart she just got freeze on initial black screen. I try to clear the bios and after that work again but after some hour she have same problem. I deliver to warranty service and they try different version of bios (f5, f6a) and they say is ok, i get it back and have same problem of freezing, i send it again to warranty and they change usb block with network adapter, it work aprox. 6 months and then i got only freeze error on black screen. On first time error i used windows xp 32 bits, video onboard, proc amd athlon 64, 2x1gb kit 800 mhz corsair ddr2, a 450w source, 1 s-ata hdd and no optical drive. Now after the last error i change all the component, i use windows 7 64 bits, proc amd phenom x4 9650, 2x2gb kit 1066 mhz kingston hyper x, a 500 w raidmax source, 1 s-ata hdd and 1 s-ata optical drive, video gigabyte gt220 1gb ddr3 and another video gt630 2gb ddr3. All the component are working fine becouse i have another pc with a m720-us3 gigabyte motherboard and i use it with no problem. Now i try to disable audio onboard, i try different version of bios still i get this freezing error, i clear c-mos and everything is ok working about 4-5 hours untill got error again. Please advice becouse i don't want to send it again to service and wait for nothing got well

I don t want to sound harsh ,but i think it s time to upgrade.
Keep in mind the boards are entry level.

FM 2 platform could be a good path to take.

Incompatibilities ,the Nvidia chipsets (and driver) problems and the DDR 2 RAM may be playing tricks on you
The power supply must not be a cracker also.

My advice for you is to upgrade if RMA has ended.Sell the CPU ,the ram and the video card and get an APU instead.
Over & Out !

AMD FX (APU-s included) users should install - KB2645594 & KB2646060 under Windows 7

1.ASUS Sabertooth 990FX 2.0 + FX 6300 + H60
2.MSI A88X-G41 PC Mate + A8 5600K + Hyper TX 2
3.Gigabyte F2A75-D3H + A4 5300
4.ASUS AM1M-A + Athlon 5150

thank you for your advice but i need a single core proc becouse of a old soft that i use on my bussines and i can change that soft... after i put the amd phenom quad core, i have 4  days without error. Only error i get is that i have to uninstall  and refresh on device manager when i plug in an usb device, to see it but i guess i mess up something wrong in bios. anyway i found a second-hand motherboard with am2 socket and that it

With Nvidia based chipsets freezing happens even if the video card itself has Nvidia chips as well.
Get a AM2 board that features AMD chipset ,except the ones that feature SB 600 as southbridge.
Something like Gigabyte MA770-UD3 revision 2.0 would be excellent.
