F2A85X-UP4 + A10-5800K + DDR3 1866 RAM = BASIC BIOS CONFIG?

F2A85X-UP4
A10-5800K
PATRIOT VIPER  DDR3 1866 2 X 8GB (PV316G186C0K)

I left everything in the bios to pretty much auto and getting bsod's on memory issues (optimized defaults).  memtest fails in test 8 (moving inversions 32 bit)

Does anyone have a basic recommendation for bios settings?  Not wanting to do any extreme OCing at this time.

TIA,
Ken

First put your ram at 1600. Make sure your timings are at •Timing 10-11-10-30 and it is set at 1.5. Make sure ram is in same colored slot. Now in bios set it to unganged and then hit F10 then enter to save and exit. If it boots up you are on the right track.
Now go into bios and set it to 1866 and hit F10 and enther to save and exit and see if it starts. If it does problem solved, If not you might have to put it back to 1600 and run it till you find a solution you can always try the other 2 slots my recommendation is use slots 2 and 4 for all this.
