GA-Z77P-D3 motherboard - trying to get Wake On Lan (WOL)

GA-Z77P-D3 motherboard - trying to get Wake On Lan (WOL)
« on: January 29, 2013, 12:52:51 am »
I've got a GA-Z77P-D3 motherboard with Windows 7 Pro installed. Looking at my Windows config I see no reason why WOL shouldn't work.  Is there something on the BIOS I need to set?  The manual mentions ErP needs to be diabled (which it is) but thats all I can see.

Any help / advise would be gratefully received.

Similar issue for me... I am trying to configure Wake On LAN for my GA-Z77 MX-D3H, however I cannot find any WOL option in the BIOS?!

Sending a packet to another system on the network works fine, whilst sending the same packet to the GA-Z77 MX-D3H results in nothing.

manual does not divulge any info regarding WOL, so any help would be great!!!

Got it working...

Installed the latest LAN driver from the website, and presto!

I know that the WOL options on the network card are usually enabled by default in windows, but it's worth checking in your device manager to see that magic packet etc are enabled too. Hope that helps

Yup - good point re windows settings. Driver settings are ...

Shtdown Wake On Lan Enabled
Wake On Magic Packet Enabled
Wake On Pattern Match Enabled
WOL & Shutdown Link Speed - 10Mbps First  (alt options are 100Mbps First, Not speed Down)

Network adaptors says its a Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller version - 7.49.927.2011

Update Driver option says driver upto date But if I'm right http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/downloadsView.aspx?Langid=1&PNid=13&PFid=5&Level=5&Conn=4&DownTypeID=3&GetDown=false#1      indicates a version of 7.065  so more upto date

I cant relate the RTL reference at the top of the page back to the hardware

If I interpret this correct the Update Driver windows button is wrong.
