Z77X-UD4H memory question
« on: May 02, 2013, 11:57:25 am »
Hi,

I was wondering about memory, from my previous build (X58) I have 2 sets of memory left, both are Kingston Valueram 1333mhz. One set is 2x4GB and the other is 3x2GB.
Is it possible to use these together to make 12GB out dual channel? Beside that one is 8GB and other 6GB they are the same model, speed and timings. So I'd use 2x4GB en 2x2GB .. would that work or can it harm anything to try it out??
I'm planning to get 16GB in the future but not for right immediatly as I need some other things also. I'm using now 8GB Geil black dragon from a 12GB set.

Thx!

you can use them but not sure if there is any memory compatiblity issue.
if it has compatbility, you may use 2x4gb.
