Hi all!
(I am not sure about missing some similar topic, if so please excuse me). Sorry for my english, I am hungarian. The problem with my board is: On every 4th(!) start(restart/turn on doesn't matter) a UEFI style small dialog box(Boot failure detected-title caption) appears in boot time. It proposes 3 options to choose from: Load default settings and boot, Load default settings and reboot, Enter the BIOS. There is a text also, it says that "probably" I have wrong settings in BIOS. The problem is, with default, and with every possible setting that I tried(within reason) and believe, I tried MANY, the problem occurs. I updated the latest BIOS from F7 to F8, BIOS options added, screen logo changed, but the problem stayed. If the PC starts, it is stable as rock. Tried memtest, burn-in, furmark, in previously intalled Win7 no errors. Now it runs Ubuntu Server 32bit. As a server, it will have no attached display and keyboard, only power and 2xCAT5e. So when the proble occurs i have to turn it off, attach display and keyboard, turn on, select "Enter the BIOS" then F10 with "yes". Then turn off detach display keyboard, turn it on again, and I have one more "restart card" then it fails again. It drives my crazy...
So my question is: If the PC can start 3 times normally, then why detects a boot failure at fourth time?(Its like the settings have a counter or something.)
Sys specs:
Above mentioned Gigabyte board(rev 2.1, F8),
CPU: Celeron G550
VGA: IGFX
HDD: 2x WD green 2TB
MEM: Corsair 1333Mhz 4GB (chosen from memory support list)
PSU: 350W FSP 85+
PCIe 1: WDN4800 TP-Link Wifi AP-capable card
PCIe 2: Intel Gigabit 1port additional NIC card
The system, Cpu, HDD-s all below 35C running all day, in fact I am sending this post thorough this config(It acts as a server)
So if anyone can help me in this case, I will appreciate very much! Thank You!
