Graphic card problem(gigabyte 7950 wf3)

Hello i have just purchased a new graphic card a gigabyte 7950 wf3.
Yesterday i tryed for first time to connect it i pluged the 2x6 pins cables to the power supplier and then connected the card to the monitor via hdmi to hdmi cable but the only thing i got was the message no signal on monitor,why is this happening?wrong connecton or something else?i plugged it via hdmi cuase i didnt have an dvi to rbg converter.

What should i do?i am starting to think that the card isent working at all

Try DVI if you can.
Also clear motherboard CMOS. Sometimes system not initializing new installed cards, especially if nVidia card was installed before.

i buy same card and at 1st boot no display on dvi or hdmi , for me the problem was :

my mother board msi gd55 bios 1.1 not reconize the 7950.

i update my bios 1.1 to 1.8 and its works. Try to clear cmos and update ur bios
