[FR]Z77M-D3H no boot, no bip
« on: March 15, 2013, 06:52:41 pm »
Hi, sorry for my french accent!

- i5 3570K
- GigaByte Z77M-D3H
- 2x4Go Gskill RipJaws X DDR3-1600 CL8-8-8-24
- Crucial M4 256Go
and no boot, no beep, nothing!

I've triple-check everything, my PSU is a (old but working) CoolMaster GX750
I've clear the CMOS, connect just one RAM, on every slot...
I'm now lost

Does anyone have an idea?

Sorry for my English accent!  :D

What revision is your motherboard? - If it is Rev1.0 there could be a problem with BIOS not supporting the CPU

Have you connected a motherboard speaker to hear the POST beeps?

Have you double checked that you have connected all power leads to the motherboard?

Have you tried putting the basic components together on a cardboard box to eliminate the possibility of a short in the PC Case?
Remember, when all else fails a cup of tea and a good swear will often help! It won't solve the problem but it will make you feel better.

It's the 1.0 revision, and yes, I've connect the speaker to my motherboard. I've also had double, triple checked everything...

Did you connect mouse and keyboard?
How you connect Front Panel Header......(Power switch must be connected also)?

Disconnect HDMI cable and connect direct from DVI or D socket.
Check your CPU socket for bent pins.

No mouse, no keyboard, and I use a jumper ton turn on / off the MB.
I'm gonna check the socket for bent pins.

Edit:
No visible problem with the socket...
And with the keyboard, the mouse, and another DVI cable, it's quite the same!

You have spare PSU (or try another 4 pin plug to connect)?
How your jumper working (to power on board)?
Memory contacts clean?
So,everything is new,except PSU?
Try to power on thru casing wires.

I have a spare PSU, the one I wanted to use, but I expected this kind of question,
so I took my PSU from my "old" computer, a Q6600 with SLI 8800 GTX, 4 HD SAS 15k in raid 0 with a specific card controler,
2 other HD 1To, and yes it still works with (I've just try!)
To power On with a jumper, or a screw driver, you just have to make contact between PW+ and PW-
So before making the photo, I have (of course) tested it inside the case, with all the correct casing wires, with the new PSU, and with the old (but surely working) PSU...
Memory contact seems perfect!
