Can't get into the BIOS GA-X79-UP4

Can't get into the BIOS GA-X79-UP4
« on: March 16, 2013, 06:46:41 am »
Helping out a friend.  She got the X79-UP4.  When she hits delete key it will go to a blue screen but nothing else.  Have to hard reboot to get it to boot again.  She wanted to change her memory timing but can't because delete won't get into BIOS.  Any suggestion?

Thanks..

The boards boot so fast today that you have to sometimes look at the keyboard and watch the little lights for you cap lock / num lock.

When they flash start hitting the del key if you still get the blue than there is something with wrong with the bios info screen.

At this point do you want clear the cmos. If you clear it and still can't get in than you might be screwed.

Got it figured out.  Found an older thread that said to unplug all USB devices except keyboard and mouse.  That fixed it.  Thanks.

Yup.  Especiall unplug game controllers. I cannot get into my board's UEFI bios unless I unplug my joystick,
