monitor,mouse,keyboard will not power on
« on: March 29, 2013, 09:31:01 pm »
when i turn on my computer, the tower comes on just fine, but nothing else does. the light on the key board will come on for a second then turn on. shortly after powering on i hear a flutter type beep immediately followed by a short beep. all the fans work, and the lights in the tower come on. however no response at all from the monitor. what could be the problem??

which specs do you need to know? im not sure which ones will be helpful to you. after i did this post i was able to get it to power on and after being on for a little while it flashed something about the SATA and then the monitor went black. it flashed so fast i was unable to read the full error message.

MB, Memory, CPU, PSU, & video card if you are using one. If it is a new build. Most of the time I'll put the MB on the box it came in.

Install CPU, one stick of memory, video card & connect the psu than try it. Then if it boots and you put in the case and doesn't boot.

Then the board maybe being shorting out on something. Is it still giving you the beeps?
