GA-EP31-DS3L Start and stop on its own

Using mobo GA-EP31-DS3L - Intel Duo E6750 and Nividea 8800GTX PCIEX16_1. Plugged in everything I can. PSU Corsair 550v.
Memory Corsair 4x1024G. Machine starts on power up, runs for 40 seconds, then stops and Immediately starts again, runs 40 seconds, stops with a squeek, starts again straight away, and so on. There is nothing on the LCD screen, so cannot tell if CPU is overheating. Any ideas please.

Hmmm could be a couple things coming into play here.....

1, maybe psu not strong enough to run that power hungry 8800

2, The memory controller having issues with all 4 dimm slots occupied so could be issue there

Can you post your bios template...Also your Ram specs would help too

one thing you could just try would be to take out two of your ram and leave a stick in slot one and another in slot 3....If you can boot into windows I would suggest downloading http://www.memtest86.com/ and test your ram. If they pass a few runs then swap them out and try the other two. See how that goes...

Board doesn't support all 4 slots in use.

People who wanted 4GB on this board required 2x 2GB sticks
