New 7870 don't work with h55m-ud2h

Hi im having problems with my radeon 7870 on my gigabyte h55m-ud2h mobo.
If i run my computer of the onboard graphics, choosing it in the bios. Everything works fine, even when the radeon card is in it.

However if i change to peg in bios, my 7870 graphics card fails to deliver any signal to the monitor, from both the hdmi and dvi port on the card. I literally have to remove the card to be able to enter bios again..

After some trail and error i managed booting up using the onboard graphics, and installing the drivers for it while the card was in the pci16 slot on the mobo. After that it showed up in gpu-z and was recognized in the device-manager.

The numbers in gpu-z was hower somewhat strange, showing the clockspeed at 0mhz and such..

I should also mention that i don't think this is a power issue, i have both 6 pin connectors firmly in place and im using this psu

nevermind, fixed it now after hours of testing. Had to select "load optimized defaults" in bios. :)
