GA-Z77X-UD3H Can't load windows 7 pro
« on: April 17, 2013, 05:15:56 pm »
I have built a new machine with the above mentioned mother board. 8 gig ram. ASUS video card. boots and posts fine. Windows 7 pro load right up till it ask's for the dvd drivers (SATA drivers) off the Mobo disk. I loade the disk go to the directory where the manual say's no raid driver folder check the whole disk find a driver in the other folder marvell controler. the same as whats listed in the manual it say's it's the wrong one. So i download the pre install driver from the Gigybyte web site the the proper one for the chip set still no joy. Do i need to change anything in the bios any help would be great. Thanks in advance Don

Put the driver on a USB drive and try it. That is the only way I could get it to load. From a disk it doesn't see anything.

Apperantly moving the windows usb drive to another usb port in the case ( not on the motherboard) was the answer. then windows recgnised the drivers and all is well.

When I boot up I had the USB already plug in. The older boards you didn't need a driver with Win 7.

Since they came out with the UEFI bois it has change back to the old days where you had to hit F6 when booting up.
