GA-Z77X-D3H & SSD
« on: April 27, 2013, 04:20:41 pm »
Hi all ,I am having trouble with my MB recognizing my crucial M4 ssd.
Its has been happening for a while on and off ,but today its really not working at all.
I updated my bios to F16 but this didn't help matters ,also tried changing cables etc with no joy.

Anyone had similar problems or any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you..

Is the firmware on the SSD the latest version?

If I have checked the correct SSD then it should be Firmware version 070H which if it isn't, you can download from here: http://www.crucial.com/uk/support/firmware.aspx?source=web
Remember, when all else fails a cup of tea and a good swear will often help! It won't solve the problem but it will make you feel better.

Thanks for the reply absic, I can't even get it to boot into windows to check the firmware version.
Even tried it in another machine and its not being recognised  :-\

I'm kind of having the same problem with OCZ SSD drive. If I plug it in with sata cable it doesn't see it.

I have a USB device and I hook it up that way and it will than see it. I'm still playing around with it.

When I format it with the USB device than the computer will see it hookup with a sata cable but not all the time.

Plus I updated it to the latest firmware and than the computer wouldn't see it again with the Sata cable

Plug it back in with the USB and than it would see it again. So like I said I'm still working on it.
