How can-do I disable my Integrated ATI Radeon HD 4250 graphics?

Im very interested in getting a new graphics card from NE BUT before I install it I need to know if its possible to disable the Integrated ATI Radeon HD 4250 graphics in BIOS (or can I combine the two). I bought BF3 and it was frame by frame action. Not good. so Two questions (the first I've already asked). My board is (GA-880GM-UD2H rev. 1). What is the best PCI-E 2.0 x16 interface Graphics card (up to $100.00)??

Recommendations please. TIA!!!!!!!!!!!!

The BIOS has settings related to the on-board graphics. Some boards allow disabling directly ,some will disable it automatically when new card is detected.
If you can t disable it just lower the clocks of the GPU and on-board video ram so they waste less power and generate less heat.

Anyway on new card installation you should just plug the display into the card and you will have image

My 890GPA-UD3 has the same IGP and i can tell you it s not capable to run even CS S :)

Best integrated graphics you will find is with AMD APU-s FM2 A8 and A10 ,they will run BF 3 or BF BC2 just fine .

You will not be ale to combine the integrated graphics on your motherboard with a discrete video card ,so they work together ,this is possible only on AMD APU-s with selected video cards and APU-s.

A nice choice for a video card would be an ATI Radeon 5670 /6670  , featuring 1G of GDDR5 or more.
This ones will allow you to run any game for an excellent price.
This would be the minimum ,the more you pay the better the card will be.

If you find some card that looks interesting ask.

Over & Out !

AMD FX (APU-s included) users should install - KB2645594 & KB2646060 under Windows 7

1.ASUS Sabertooth 990FX 2.0 + FX 6300 + H60
2.MSI A88X-G41 PC Mate + A8 5600K + Hyper TX 2
3.Gigabyte F2A75-D3H + A4 5300
4.ASUS AM1M-A + Athlon 5150

In the BIOS under the ADVANCED menu:
Init Display First [PCI slot] default setting (Init means initialize)
options: [On Chip VGA]
[PEG] sets PCI Express Graphics as first display
1) GA-Z97X-Gaming 7, G3258,
2) GA-990FXA-UD3 Rev. 1.1, FX-8350
3) GA-AM1M-S2P, Sempron 3850 Kabini
