990FXA-UD3: ATX Power Cable movement causes shutdown

Hey guys, I'm having a really weird problem with my computer. I have a 990FXA-UD3 Rev 1.1. If the 24 pin ATX power cables moves at all, the system will lose power and shut down. I have another motherboard, an 870A-UD3 Rev 3.0, and I tried my parts in that motherboard. The 870A-UD3 does not experience a shutdown with ATX cable movement. So, I thought I had narrowed the problem down and RMAd the 990FXA. Got it back a week ago, and I was very disappointed see the exact same problem. Gigabyte has assured me it is a different motherboard and has been checked for quality. What should I do?

I will not look at the youtube stuff,but i tell you that the issue resides in the PSU.
Crap connector,tired connector.
Install a new quality power supply.

My PSU is a Corsair 650 TX. Why would another motherboard not have the same issue of it's the PSU?

sounds to me like a broken solder point (power socket) on the failing mobo - maybe check with an magnifier glass and resolder?

I already RMAd it though, so it would have to be the same issue on 2 motherboards?

You actually checked it's really another mobo or just same returned? Get a magnifier then
The only other thing is squeeze the power cable contacts a bit for firmer seating

If its just a returned one, what should I do? I'm not paying for shipping to RMA again.

as above already stated twice - get magnifier glass and check the 24pin socket solder points for hair cracks or loose pins - if needed resolder or return to GA stating solder cracks found.

If your PSU is modular remember to check both ends of the 24p power cables for proper plug contact - sometimes it helps to just pull the plug and reinsert to remove corrosion resistance.

I meant thought Gigabyte. The board is still in warranty and I don't want to break my warranty

Always ,before RMA ,make pictures to the hardware you send.
If you would have done that you would have seen the MAC address of the onboard LAN which is unique.

The magnifier glass may be useless if there is a  hidden manufacturing issue.Those pins go tru a multistrat PCB so you wont know where it s not in contact ,properly soldered.

Changing the PSU will allow you to isolate a possible tired connector.This clips in the ATX connector can get loose over time.It could be that this board to have the pins with a smaller gauge for some reason so the contacts to be imperfect.

If it s a modular PSU it s even more prone to such on both ends.
