Greetings,

The owner's manual (pgs 50-..) state that power can be initiated by pci or modem.  I would guess that if your lan (network adapter/nic) is seen as a modem or a pci device then ... .  Best way to know is just select either item in the bios and see what happens when another computer queries this one.

Your nic is related to pci.  It is a device which derives its identy from the pci source bus.  I know it's show as a separate item in the device manager but so are hard drives, video cards and other peripherals..

Did you actually try both tests?  Setting the bios to modem and then to lan.  Letting the system go to sleep.  And then querying the computer from another on the network?  What kind of network are you using and how many computers are attached. And, what are the o/s of each of the network computers?

Thanks a lot for your reply
I set bios for modem ring on and called it by telephone but nothing happened (PC was in sleep state).
I want to turn my pc via android phone by magic packets but may be my motherboard doesn't support this packet so I Want to try modem ring.
My network has Cisco modem router with my win7 pc and two Ip camera which I want to control them remotly.
I can see their streams by phone but I want to turn on my pc and start to record them every time I want.
Every idea or software would be appreciated.

The software for recording is I SPY ->  http://www.ispyconnect.com/
It s free ,using it on some configuration for some time, to keep my car under surveilance.
It does auto-detection and sensitivity tweak and so on ,Windows only.

If your camera supports delivering screenshots on movement detection ,via FTP ,then you can build a Linux machine with OpenSUSE or Ubuntu and enable on them the FTP server.

Your rig is kind of power hungry though. With a FM 2 rig made of a simple FM 2 board and a A4 5300 APU you can keep it on when needed and it will only draw like 40W.

Getting a rig with small power consumption could be better than the wake on lan stuff having in mind the purpose.

Over & Out !

AMD FX (APU-s included) users should install - KB2645594 & KB2646060 under Windows 7

1.ASUS Sabertooth 990FX 2.0 + FX 6300 + H60
2.MSI A88X-G41 PC Mate + A8 5600K + Hyper TX 2
3.Gigabyte F2A75-D3H + A4 5300
4.ASUS AM1M-A + Athlon 5150

My Ip camera has complete program for recording and I Only need a remote program for waking up my pc.
PC in suspend mode draw only 3 to 5 W Power and for many day controling 40 W Is big power consumption.

Your board revision 1.0  is very old (from 2009) - latest bios is F12

The onboard network card's properties have wakeups enabled?
It may be your cisco not passing on the wakeup signal hence configure it to do so.

I upgraded my bios to 12 and also set my Cisco to port forwarding to my pc address and so I Don't know if it is enough or Ik should do more?
Is there a software that check my network if it support Wol Features?

Your system board should be able to handle it and it's the power-management feature in your network card's properties that have to be set to enable wakeup. Your cisco router may need some configuration done other than port forwarding?

My network adapter shows that it support Wol and I Enabled it but in motherboard manual says that it only support PCI and modem wakeup and nothing about wake on lan. What configuration do I need for my Cisco router?

depending on your modem router you should consult a cisco expert - I am not! ;)
Try a cisco specific forum maybe?
