No BIOS, No POST on first-time build

we assembled everything and power on does not provide POST or BIOS. Lights work  in Case, Power supply, on RAM, and all fans spinning, but no kbd, no monitor, no beeps...

power supply had a 20pin + 4pin side by side for ATX slot, but power supply does not have 2x2 connector for ATX_12V slot. We do not have power in the 2x2 slot.

Hi there,

without power in the four pin slot next to the CPU you will not get anything.

A quick look at the spec's for your PSU indicates that it does have the required connector although it may look different. It could look like an 8 pin connector and might be labelled as 1 x 4+4 pin EPS 12V, that is joined together in the middle (actually 2x4 pin connectors) and you will need to use one half of this connector in the 4 pin socket on the motherboard.

Hello this is wonderful advice. it worked. we found an extra 8-pin cable from the PSU that had some markings on it and it matched the plugs on the motherboard.
