That board is ok for that CPU ,that motherboard should work
Nevertheless the power supply should be a good one for that rig and having in mind you have not mentioned it it must be some generic one or old.
You should research and find out what temperatures does the CPU have ,when you are stress testing it with heavy applications ,just to rule out a bad CPU also (fabrication issues with the heat-spreader, the metal on the cip).
What you have can be caused by a protection(thermal or over current) kicking in ,either in the PSU ,either on the motherboard
In the power supply due to a limited "juice" ,due to bad capacitors or due to overheating.
On the motherboard due to some thermal sensor reading
If it s totally random then it leads to a bad PSU in my view
After you get the system rock solid just make sure you are using the latest BIOS.
