hey guys
is anybody running 3 Way SLI with Nvidia GTX's of any kind on the X79UD3 board?
I breifly had it up untill something crashed (not sure what caused it thinking the board crashed (so I rma'd it cause it was what I thought was the issue)
Everything on the system was bought at same time so everything is very new.
System specs are;
X79ud3 (bios f11 updated)
3930k (zalman 9900max) never exceeds 60°c
16gb dominator gt 2133(2 corsair ram fans 1 on each side of cpu)
1200watt silent pro
2x Vertex 4 (raid 0)
3x GTX 480 3 way SLI (2 gigabyte on 16x slots and 1 galaxy on 8x slot in the middle of the 3) never exceeding 80°c
2 lg bluray burners
Silverstone card reader w/ additional usb 3.0
Corsair 600t black edition
Win 7,64bit
My question is how many out there are sucsessfully running 3 way SLI on this board? Or any gigabyte board?
Anything I need to know about pci e 2.0 or pci e 3.0?
My system was vey fussy and just not right but even being a seasoned builder I couldnt pinpoint so I guessed it was the board causeing all kinds of weird issues cause even when I took out the other 2 cards windows wouldnt load just a bunch of wild actups so,i,figuered it was the board. Gonna pick it up from Rma this week.
