Gigabyte Z77X-D3H - High pitched noise

Hi Guys :)

Picked myself up a Gigabyte Z77X-D3H a couple of weeks ago and there is an issue. Basically when ever the DVI port on the MB is used a high pitched whine starts up.

The whine is located on the top left hand side of the board. (Just north of the DVI Port)

Occasionally the system has begun to freeze. The audio gets stuck in a loop and screen corruption then occurs.  The corruption is blue rectangles forming a grid pattern. Top to bottom and left to right.

System is:

i5 3570k
Gigabyte Z77X-D3H
Corsair 550w PSU
Samsung 830 ssd
Windows 8

The PC is silent due to low RPM fans and the noise is becoming irritating.

IS it RMA time?

RMA the motherboard ,its a shame they have such good tech but Gigabyte use poor chokes and other components producing random problems on all there platforms.

Use a pencil with eraser on top to allocate the offender by touching the components gently.
