GA-Z77X-UD5H and DPC Latency
« on: July 24, 2013, 06:41:52 pm »
I'm currently researching the Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD5H motherboard and I've read that it may have some sound issues. I'd like to know more about these potential issues from actual users of the board, or any system builders who have experience with the UD5H.

The main issues seem to be with DPC latency, which can produce various sound issues, as noted in this review:

The linked review seems to indicate that this DPC latency issue is due to the EasyTune 6 software, however users have reported that even when EasyTune 6 is not installed there is still some DPC latency and in some cases there is noticeable audio shuddering/dropouts when watching video.

Can anyone who owns or has experience with the UD5H confirm that DPC latency is still an issue? Has Gigabyte addressed this?
