Hello,
First of all, I'm not particularly tech-savvy, so please bear with me.
My computer has the above stated mainboard with an i5 2500k and 8GB of Corsair 1333 RAM running Windows 7. I have this computer since Nov 2011 (about 2.5 years) and never overclocked it in any way.
Today the machine froze 3 times shortly after booting up (about 20min after start, then 10min, then during booting windows). During the restarts it quickly restarted again; basically, the lights went on for 2 seconds, then off again, this repeated about 5 times before the machine started.
I checked the BIOS and received this message:
"The system has experienced boot failures because of overclocking or changes in voltage. Latest settings in BIOS may not coincide with current H/W states"
Since then, the computer seems to be running fine, however I'm still concerned. Again, I didn't change any settings, this problem occured on its own.
I installed CPU-Z and it says my DRAM-Frequency is 667.8 MHz. Isn't that half of what it's supposed to be?
CPU runs at 3400 MHz.
Here are the voltage numbers from the BIOS, are these all right?
Vcore 1.248v
DDR15v 1.536v
+12v 12.172v
Vcc3 3,324v
Vcc 4,980v
Vtt 1.064v
I'm concerned that either the power supply or the RAM is damaged in some way.
What do you make of this? Is there a way to find out whether power supply or RAM is damaged?
If you need more information, I'll be happy to provide it.
Thank you.
