I intend to install Windows 8 in a purely UEFI environment. The system is not overclocked, and has one HDD and one optical drive installed.
The problem is thus: when I update the BIOS Features section to UEFI only and reboot, the computer alerts me that there are no bootable devices installed. Both drives are listed under System/ATA Port Information, but no longer appear under BIOS Features/Boot Order Priority. Oddly enough, USB devices seem to appear, but anything connected to the SATA bus doesn't. Hitting F12 at boot simply directs me to the BIOS. Moreover, disabling CSM support in the BIOS results in a double reset where the original settings are restored, rendering it impossible to disable this feature.
