880GM-UD2H rev 1.4 Sudden boot problem
« on: October 01, 2013, 03:52:58 pm »
Hi,

I have a strange issue when turning on my PC.  It won't boot into windows as is in a loop.  This is really weird as the system was working fine the other day.  I can boot from a live cd and see the hard disk and all files on it.  The hard drive isnt making any strange noises either.  really stumpped.
I've been looking in the bios settings and in hard disk boot priority the hard drive shows as

1,  SCSI-0  :  PORT:0-SAMSUNG HD103SJ

I thought the drive was a SATA?  I cant find any settings relating to SCSI anywhere?

Also when changing the settings to IDE the hdd boots into windows 7 but is really slow?

If anyone has some advise, it would be really welcome.

Thanks everyone.

Andrew. :)

Use the Windows disk and repair the install.Maybe a virus attack of some sort or corruption.
You can run some Antivirus LIVE Distro ,BitDefender ,Kaspersky and Dr Web have such
Run the HDD manufacturer diagnostic utility ,but careful to not destroy the data.
As you can access the content you can back up the data easily before.
