H87-D3H Rev1.0 does not work with IntelHD GraphicsDriver
« on: October 25, 2013, 06:02:02 pm »
Hello together,

I have tried to install the IntelHD GraphicsDrivers since 2 weeks. But every time when I have installed the driver, after the reboot the system
stopps operating, (only) when the graphic load is rising. First the usual Win7 Prof surounding seems to work fine. But when I start Firefox,
or I try do start the Windows Performance Check (it starts with a component called "Direct3D..."), the picture ist immediatly frozen.
When I have deinstalled the Intel Graphics Driver, after rebooting the Windows "VGASAVE"-Driver is loaded and everything is OK (except
there is no sound at the HDMI-Interface !!!, even not at the analog green sound output).
The Windows Performance Check says "1.0" for Graphics, all other items are "7.5".
That shows me, that there is no DRAM-Problem.

I tried (together with the new BIOS F5):
Intel HD Graphics Driver for Win7-Prof (64bit)
Version 9.18.10.3071 (failed), from Gigabyte DVD
Version 10.18.10.3325 (failed),

My configuration:
intel i5-4570S
8 GB DDR3-1600 RAM (ADATA AX3U1600GW4G9-2G running at 1.50V, and only 1333MHz, CL-9-9-9-24)
Samsung SSD 840
2 TB HDD (SATA)
PSU be quiet BQ L8-300W ("Haswell compatible")
no additional graphic card, only CPU internal graphics (HD 4600)

Are there anyone having similar problems ? Is there any solution known ?

Yours sincerely
Juergen

Hello dmdilks,

yes, I already have tried this one.
The driver 15.33.6.64.3325 (from the Gigabyte page) installes the
6.16.00.3125 Display audio driver and the
10.18.10.3325 HD4600 driver
After rebooting the "welcome" screen is frozen.
After a second reboot a firefox start is necessary to freeze the picture.

Best regards
Juergen

The only other thing I could say is maybe try and install Direct3D

Hello dmdilks,

thank you for your help. In the meantime I found out, that the analog green audio output is working, if the "audio controller" ist enabled in the BIOS.
It was disabled (don't know why). The monitor is able to receive the video information via HDMI and the audio information via analog stereo input.
So in principle the system works.
The big graphic performance I do not need. It is a PC for doing office items, some programming in C-Code, etc.

bye
