Hi all

i am new to this forum, i have a bit of a problem with upgrading BOIS from firmv, f2 to f5f, i have tried to boot on a dos CD and a usb flash drive with the flashsbi.exe and the f5f software on.

The problem is i cabt use q-flash becauce of the differense in size of the two immages, then when i use flash it tells me that it got a !!! Bad Bios File !!!, I have tried vith F3

Hi there,

if the F5f BIOS file is larger than the original F3 BIOS file then you will need to use the @BIOS utility to update the BIOS. You will need to download the correct version for your motherboard and unfortunately I can't find the model number you have given in the title, so can't provide you with a link.
Remember, when all else fails a cup of tea and a good swear will often help! It won't solve the problem but it will make you feel better.

The model name is GA-X58-USB3 Rev 1.0

I just read that @bios can brick your MoB, and i usually run Linux on my computer, and i have not found any @bios for linux
