DDR3 at speeds higher than 1600

Hi! I´m about to buy a ga z87m dh3, I´ll use it with 2x4gb 1600mhz DDR3, I see from the specs these motherboards allow 1866mhz and higher only by overclocking, I would like to know if in future  i use a 1866mhz or higher DDR3 on it, I will haver problems or I would have to buy extra system fans for that. I wonder why gigabyte motherboards only allow speeds higher than 1600mhz by  overclock when cheaper motherboards from asrock for AMD chips allow higher speeds but without overclock. Anyone knows? Thanks

You certainly won't need additional fans simply because heat should not be an issue.
