G1.Sniper M5 - RAID configuration - thoughts and questions.
« on: November 16, 2013, 07:56:48 pm »
Hello,
I ask for forgiveness if form of my questions is incorrect.

My computer has the following configuration:
GIGABYTE G1.Sniper M5 with F7 bios version. I use the built-in RAID controller. I use two SSD drives which is made up RAID 0. Of course everything is set up in the main BIOS. When I switch the bios and run the computer using second BIOS, system does not see the RAID Controller settings. If I think good when the first (main) BIOS will damage. I will be forced to reinstall operating system because the second BIOS does not know anything about configuring RAID Controller... Is there any possibility to copy the RAID Group configuration to second BIOS? I know that the second BIOS is used for revovery, but maybe there is a chance that it could recovery RAID configuration when the main BIOS will fail during update for example??

Thank you for Your response.

when booting from second bios, you can go to bios setting and set SATA as raid mode.
then go to raid rom to check if your raid works fine.
it should be ok to boot into your raid os.
