GA-990FXA-UD5 and FX-8120 Issues
« on: December 05, 2013, 10:11:20 pm »
I've been having issues lately with my computer starting up, letting me log on, then shutting down after about 60 seconds.  On certain occasions it also won't exit "Sleep" mode short of me literally moving the case around.  If anyone could shed some light into what may be happening I would be glad.

Motherboard: GA-990FXA-UD5
CPU: AMD FX-8120 Eight-Core 3.10 GHz
RAM: 16.0 GB Dual-Channel DDR3
Display Driver:1536MB GeForce GTX 480 (EVGA)
Monitor: DELL S2330MX (1920x1080@60Hz)
Hard Drive: 977GB Western Digital WDC WD1002FAEX-00Z3A0
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 64-bit
BIOS: F12

Your PSU is probably dying or isn't strong enough...
Do you use 4 dimms of ram, work with 2 and see how it goes.
