Does anyone haqve this problem?
If any HDD or ODD is connected to the Marvell GSATA connectors the HDD LED is always on. I have 2 boards bought several months apart that do this.

Problem was fixed after updating the Marvell SATA controller firmware provided by the suppliers Gigabyte Support.

All he did was update the driver.

No, I updated the FIRMWARE of the Marvell 9230 SATA controller. Similar to flashing the BIOS. I did not have to update the driver for the Marvell controller.

Send me a PM with your email. The firmware update is not posted on the web anywhere that I know of.

It requires a DOS bootable USB flash drive to run it from and is similar to flashing the BIOS. Same cautions apply as a failure could brick your mainboard or render the Marvell SATA controller un-workable.
