Hi all,
This is my first post, so please be gentle with me !
I have a new build with which I am having a small problem with, the specs are as follows;
GA-970A-DS3P rev 1.0 board
AMD FX 6300 cpu
corsair 500w psu
8 gig Crucial Ballistix ram (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-14900 C9 1866MHz
No overclocking of any components, all running as standard.
My question if anyone can help is, when i set the XMP profile setting in the BIOS to profile 1, the CPU temperature jumps from around 15 degrees C to about 50 degrees C. Is there something incorrect in the profile causing this, and if so, what would be the correct way to manually set this up in the BIOS, i am allways slightly wary of messing around with the BIOS settings in case something goes horribly wrong !
Thanks for reading.
