Problem P35-DS3P Kingston KHX8500D2K2/4G

Hi !

Have problem:
I've GIGABYTE P35-DS3P, bios F12B, CPU Q6600 + KHX8500D2K2/4G (1066speed)
In Bios default i have 800, after changing 4` i got 1066 - but after some minutes working PC gos to restart - even if i increase voltage to 2.2.
Also - in CPUZ and other softwares memory show like i have PC2-6400. I check do i realy have KHX8500D2K2/4G - YES it's original !

Where is problem and how to solve it to increase speed?

are you speaking of the memory strap ratio?

also what about ram timings? Can you please give us a little more information ?

Original timing at 1.8 5-5-5-18, but in my bios not possible to change timing.
So only way it is to change memory ration (4`) and then it shows 1066, but after some minutes to work or test at Prime95 get Hardware error !

Maybe i found solution about speed - update latest bios F12 - change ration to (4`) 1066mhz and start PRIME95 test - for now look stablish - but test continuing... but problem about windows or mother board recognizing of KHX8500D2K2/4G still exist - show me like i have PC2-6400, different softs: everst, cpu-z, memset 4.1

testing Prime95 1066 - Hardware failure after 1:52h
so new bios didn't help !

Any idea?

There should be an option to do this, usually gigabyte like to hide this stuff under a bios keyboard shortcut, but its been that long since i used a GBT boardi forget the shortcut.

In my Bios not possible to change timing - i try by Memset, but this is not the point.
Most problem hot to change from 800 to 1066 ram speed and to make windows and system recognize right ram !
My mother board support 1066, but in memory support list i dont see my Ram - so this is the problem?
