GA-H87-HD3 - no onboard LAN detected & unexpected shutdown
« on: December 23, 2013, 08:43:56 am »
Hi,

I have H87-HD3 mobo with i5-4430.
I've just changed case to zalman z3 plus.
First problem was that unit won't launch, after disconnecting & reconnecting everything I found out that case pwr LED was the problem.
After proper boot OS Win 8 PRO showed no LAN devices. LAN LEDs are off.
I've checked BIOS but it's all fine. I don't want to reset BIOS settings to default because I have RAID0 & I'm afraid of any crash.
Last issue I've noticed was that unit was shutting down itself after 15-20 minutes of work.

Does anyone had same problem or know the solution?

Resetting the bios will not crash the raid. Reset the bios and than go back in set to the default and go back in set that controller back to raid.

Just don't let the computer boot to windows when you are doing this. When you move everything make sure that you didn't bump something.

Just make sure something isn't over heating. Plus before you do all of this go into the bios. Write down the things you have to change after you reset the bios.

Bios default settings -> same
other PSU -> same
w/o HDDs, just in BIOS -> shutdown after 30 minutes
temperatures of whole unit -> fine
I'm afraid that mobo is broken. Happily I have over 1yr warranty
