internal graphics memory size
« on: January 02, 2014, 11:50:30 pm »
Hi all ,
i got gigabyte z77-d3h motherboard with intel 4000 graphics card
on the BIOS and in the peripherals section the internal graphics memory size i is set by default to 64 MB
i tried changing it to 1024 MB but after i save and exit i cant boot to the windows as the computer keeps restarting itself before even showing the windows logo..
i just get a blank screen then computer restart itself
the only way i get back working is setting it to to 64 MB

my question is: what i need to do to have the computer working after changing from 64 MB to 1024 MB

do i need to reinstall the windows , and if yes do i have to do that as a clean installation (format) or i can just do it by booting from disc and reinstall and overwrite existing files

waiting for your kind reply

That is the graphic size that you will go from 64 mb to 1024 mb. I might be wrong but you can't change it.

It will change it when you need that extra memory on it's own.
