GA-Z77X-UD5H - windows 8.1 - shutdown problem
« on: December 01, 2013, 09:37:51 pm »
Hey Guys I have a GA-Z77X-UD5H (rev 1.0).
Ever since I installed Windows 8.1 my system won't shutdown.
When I click shutdown, the system just reboots.

I've updated to the latest F15q bios, installed the latest drivers.
Made sure shutdown is set in advanced power options when pressing the power button.
I've tried the recommended fix of setting the bios OS type to legacy mode.

Has anyone else had this issue with Windows 8.1?
Is this a fault with this motherboard?
What do you guys think?

Kind Regards
Aaron

Hey dmdilks

Many thanks for the link. Though the link didn't solve the issue for me (but looks like it solved the issue for many others), I did end up solving it!
Took me ages but in the end i updated the Intel Rapid Storage software and that fixed it. No idea how that was affecting it!
