So if your trying to use 1080p which is a common PC resolution then you need a high speed HDMI not standard HDMI cable.
If you have Dual Link DVI mode enabled in the BIOS, then HDMI won't work.
Some TV sets may be incapable of displaying the screen resolution size you have setup.
HDMI port, supporting a maximum resolution of 1920x1200.
All integrated graphics ports do not support Hot plug.

I can transmit 1080i signal through this cable as I did that before with the very same PC and the very same TV.
Dual Link DVI double checked and disabled - again, this connection worked like a week before.
My Samsung TV has FullHD resolution, I have displayed FullHD media before.
I did not to try hot plug the PC. As mentioned - both PC and TV were switched off.
