GA-Z87X-D3H Problems

GA-Z87X-D3H Problems
« on: December 28, 2013, 04:57:39 pm »
I have 3 problems with this motherboard.
1) No usb keyboard works in bios.  I've tried 3 different keyboards and several different usb ports.
2) Com port does not work - Is that a setting in Bios?
3)  Latest and most serious problem  I cannot get into bios at all now - even with a ps2 keyboard.  I press F2 or delete but it just shows windows choices.
Any help is appreciated.  Gigabyte has never responded to my 2 requests.  1st one was 2 months ago.

For your last question, make sure keyboard works, you should be able to see CAPS lock or NUM LOCK light in BIOS.
Keep your finger on Delete, this should let you into BIOS.

If not consult the motherboard manual, but you can reset BIOS by either removing CMOS battery for a few minutes
or a link on the motherboard, this will be outlined in BIOS.

About second question.
Yes, you must enable COM port in BIOS.

I did reset bios and now I can get back into Bios and the usb keyboard works in bios.  Com port is enabled and still no connection to 2 different devices.  Could the port be bad or is there something I'm missing?
