990fxa-UD3 Slow SATA Ports?
« on: January 22, 2014, 05:09:55 pm »
Hello,

I recently benchmarked my 990fxa-UD3 with Pyro SE SSD with HD Tune Pro and it's reporting back with a reading of ~230MB/s. That's way below what it's supposed to be performing at.

My BIOS settings are at SATA III and AHCI activated. I also checked my registry within windows 7 and it's specifying that AHCI is on via the generic MS AHCI driver.

Any thoughts as to what i should try?

Looks to me your SSD is on the slow side:

while read speed looks good the write speed is appalling hence your score is about right
