I have a x58-usb3 mb with F5c bios version with an intel i7 950 3.07Ghz. I recently noticed that cpu multiplier is stuck at 12x, so frequency is always lowered at 1598Mhz, even at high loads. Power saving settings in Control panel are ok and in BIOS settings multiplier is detected at 23x. C3/C6/C7 state is disabled. EIST, C1E, CPU thermal monitor are enabled. Only if i disable them i get a fixed 23x multiplier within the OS, but i need Speedstep and temperature control. What could be the issue?
