GA-Z87-D3HP - socket 1150 - chipset Z87 - ATX

Hi,
I bought this mobo last week and after testing all my other PC components i came to the conclusion that my mobo is malfunctioning...
What happens is i get random reboots... sometimes it takes 10-15min to crash, sometimes it right after booting or even in the BIOS menu.

Even when it is working only with the CPU (i7 4470k) and RAM (corsair vengeance 2x4gb 1600mhz) it still randomly reboots.
I browsed the web and found out i'm not the only one and updated my BIOS to F5 with no results...

I bought it via internet (Pixmania-Pro) and cannot get a refund, I have to send it back to them so they can send it back to you, to check if there is a problem or not so you can fix it or send a new one back to me. that will take about 1 month and i have been without computer for 3 weeks...

my question is, should i send my mobo to them (Pixmaina-Pro) or is there something I can do to make it work?!

Could you put up some spec's? Do you have other memory you could try? Some of the other people have had problems with Corsair memory.

the rest of my setup is a Radeon HD6970 a SMC land card and a Creative XFI sound card

The memory I have from my "old" pc is 2x 2GB kingston at DDR2... will it fit the DDR3 slots?


Edit.  A friend of mine is lending me his 2x 4gb Kingston DDR3 1600mhz rams for me to test it out tonight. Ill post the results tomorrow.

So, I've tested it with 2x 4Gb Kingston Hyper X at 1600mhz and nothing changed, still randomly reboots, specially wile under pressure (using AutoCAD, CorelDraw or playing a game)

So decided to send it back, I'm shipping it out today and in a month time hopefully ill have my board fixed or replaced.
Crossing my fingers.

In until then I have reassembled my old PC with my old Gigabyte EX38DP6 and my core quad :\


EDIT: By reading though this forum it seams that this generation of mobos has allot of problems...
I ALWAYS had Gibabyte motherboards I hope i don't regret buying this one...

Yes Gigabyte has had their problems with these boards. It looks like it is across most of the Z87 boards too.

I have too been using Gigabyte for a long time. With all the boards that I have used I only had 2 or 3 have problems.
