Gigabyte GA-770TA-UD3 two CPU Fans on the CPU Fan connector not working.

Hi all,

yesterday i installed a second Fan on my CPU Tower cooler with a Y- 4 Pin cabel to connect both to the CPU Fan connector on the MoBo. I did this to get the Fan Speed Control of the Mobo which works fine with one Fan.
But now only one Fan is running and i get an error beep from the Mobo cause it obviously it cant read the 2 Fans on one connector properly.
has anybody an idea how to control both fans with the help of the MoBo? or must i go back to a manual Fan Controller?

So i investigated a little more and tried some other configurations.
during the second setting i noticed that only one fan got power from the Y-connector and as it seems it just broke down after i installed it on the CPU fans.
It was working at first but just died on me testing my new dual fan setup :-P and then i got the CPU Fan warning beeep.
Ordered a replacement Y-Connector ;-)

Careful with the amps sucked by the 2 fans ,you may kill the mobo fan VRM.
Feed the fans thru a controler linked to the power supply to avoid VRM burning.

Or connect both to the PSU to 5V or to 7V (if the fan is between 12V and 5V molex pins) for silent operation.

If the fans do not have PWM or only 3 pins are used you may hear the noise as well.
Warning beeps can be turned off on some mobos ,if you know the fans spin

yeah to bad that the amps are undocumented in the manual.
i guess im just switching to a Fan controller and turn off the warning in my BIOS....
i guess it was a bad idea anyway to connect two fans from different companies to a single PWN connector. readings were quite strange during the first few minutes while both were running. had 2500 RPM displayed in Speedfan before it dropped to 0 RPM cause one fan stopped :-P
but there is no damage to MoBo or to the Fans. in the momoent i have one at the CPU PWM and the second on a case Fan connector. one casefan is just plugged into the PSU without controlling it.
