Overclock Problem (1090t - 970A-UD3P)
« on: March 14, 2014, 06:16:11 pm »
Hello,

This is my first post on this forum, I am really hoping someone can help me with my problem!

I purchased a 970A-UD3p with the intention of over clocking ("my normally very easy to over clock") 1090T. The problem I am having is basically, when I am changing the multiplier and the Voltage in the BIOS,  It registers and show's the over clock on all cores, However once in window's it show's that only 1 core is actually over clocked, and that the Voltage is at stock still. I am using Cpu Z, Core Temp, and Amd Overdrive to monitor. I know these readings are correct.

When I go into Bios and change the frequency bus and not the multiplier the over clock works fine and all cores are over clocked!?

When I use Amd overdrive from within windows, That also over clocks all cores and works fine!

I was very disappointed to find out that with Phenom anything other than stock clocks will result result in no boot, and after few cycles it will go back to Default Settings in BIOS.
