Z87X-OC Force mother board Bios

Z87X-OC Force mother board Bios
« on: March 15, 2014, 03:47:53 am »
I just finished my first computer build and I have one problem I cannot figured out how to solve, first I install 2 SSD in Raid one for the operating system and everything work fine.  I then install a IDE hard drive, I then get a message in the Bios that I need another drive to put it in Raid.  I don't want raid, I just want one storage drive and I cannot figure out how change the bios with out my computer not wanting to boot to windows.  I hope this make sense.  I would appreciate any help I can get.

Thanks

Z87X-OC Force or any newest board, do not support IDE any more.
So,try to install SATA 2 or 3......

Btw,
how you connect IDE drive with SATA  connectors...... ??? ::)

There are small adapters you can put on IDE drives that turn them into sata drives.

assuming the ssd's are in ports 0-5, plug the IDE drive into one of the GSATA3 ports 6-9 then configure the GSATA ports in BIOS to IDE or AHCI mode

There are a lot of people out there that would not know they are even out there. I have a drawer full of them from Abit.  ;D
