After purchasing a new R9 290 Windforce (non-oc, non-x version), the following would seem to be the reported temps, using GPU--Z and Afterburner
Idle - 45-48 (with auto 20%) // 37-42 (with 40% auto, custom profile in afterburner)
Load (Furmark) - 82-83 after ~ 5 minutes and continuing to rise, though at a relatively slower pace (ostensibly stopped test after ~7 minutes.
Ambient Temperature: ~20 celsius.
Would this be normal temps, especially those in idle, might any of you say?
Would intend to RMA the card and get a replacement from another manufacturer, as other forums mentioned that this'd likely be a relatively common issue with the Windforce cooler. Would rather not needlessly go through the inconvenience of not having a proper PC again (second RMA-ed 290), so would inquire as to whether Gigabyte or/and AMD might have posted a fix for this heat issue.
