Broken the SATA Connector; Any chance of short-circuit?

Hi all,

Unfortunately, while pulling out a SATA cable, I've broken off the SATA connector on my Gigabyte Z87-HD3 motherboard.

The 7 connectors of that port now stick out from the motherboard, without the plastic casing around it.

I want to ensure that I do not run the risk of any short-circuit and have done the following:
1. Disabled the port in the BIOS.
2. Ensured that none of the 7 connectors make contact.

Is there still any risk of short-circuit?

No as long as you don't have none of the brass connectors touching you should be fine.

That happen to me one time. You might be able to get the plastic piece back with a little super glue I did.
