GIGABYTE GA-F2A88XN-WIFI wont boot to anything other than RAID when in RAID mode

I have a GIGABYTE GA-F2A88XN-WIFI and i'm re-configuring it from 1 drive to 2 new 4tb drives in a raid 1.  I setup the raid in the raid controller and am now trying to boot to acronis true image backup from an external dvd drive that i know works, but i can't see anything in the UEFI or boot menu other than the RAID.  Any ideas on why i can't boot to anything or see any devices other than my raid?

It is because it is looking for a raid config.  What you can do if you still have the other drive you made back up from is turn it to AHCI thru windows make a new backup and then do your raid. Raid is AHCI so that should make it visible to you. To turn it to AHCI in windows just do the following.

1. Startup "Regedit
2. Open HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE / SYSTEM / CurrentControlset / Services
3. Open msahci
4. In the right field left click on "start" and go to Modify
5. In the value Data field enter "0" and click "ok"
6. exit "Regedit"
7. Reboot Rig and enter BIOS (hold "Delete" key while Booting

In your BIOS select "Integrated Peripherals" and OnChip PATA/SATA Devices. Now change SATA Mode to AHCI from IDE.

You now boot into windows 7, the OS will recognize AHCI and install the devices. Now the system needs one more reboot and voilla
