I just put together a new build and have been pulling my hair out trying to solve these random BSODs I'm getting. Nearly every time I blue screen, it's a different file or error code that is mentioned. At first I thought it was a corrupt Windows installation, so I reinstalled again. Nope, I was still getting them. I saw some blue screens mentioning the Intel RST drivers, and of course those can't be uninstalled, so I reinstalled Windows yet again. Nope, STILL getting them. I thought perhaps it was my memory then -- even though they all worked perfectly fine in my previous Asus build. I ran Memtest for 8 hours overnight, and of course not a single error to be found the next morning.
So I Google my motherboard and BSOD, and there are people with similar builds and similar boards having the same problems. So now it's my turn to post my issues. It should be noted that I planned on buying my brother this same board for Christmas, but there is no chance of that now. I would just exchange this board for the equally priced/equally capable Asus if it wasn't such a pain to tear everything apart and put it back together again. But if I don't see a fix from you (Gigabyte) before the 30 day return window closes, be on the lookout for my board coming back to you from the store I bought it from.
Motherboard: Gigabyte Z87X-UD3H
RAM: 8GB G.Skill F3-12800CL6-2GBXH (4x2GB)
CPU: Intel i7 4770K
OS: Windows 7 x64
Everything at stock clocks. I'll try updating the BIOS to F8h now, and report back if I haven't blue screened in awhile.
