J1900 motherboard problem

J1900 motherboard problem

I just received this new boards with the J1900 and I am unable to install windows 7 on them, what the hell is going on?

After install,it restarts every time just after a few seconds at the 'Starting Windows', safe mode doest work either.

Windows 8 works, but I DONT want win8 on these machines.


I need a fix or some info on  this ASAP ! pleasE!

Does this happen just as you start windows for the first time. If does change it to boot from the hard drive.

I've expressed myself bad in the last post, so.... I installed windows 7, then it gets into a restart loop, i've tried everything even what you suggested, we are 4 guys here trying to get this sorted... all of the boards do the same.

But it's late and we'll do a bios update tomorrow..... but this is just fcked up, how are we to give this to our customers?!

As a detail ... before it restarts, the 4 'balls' that form the windows logo barely appear and freezes and a thick red line appears at the top of the screen.... if that helps in any way...

Yes this the Official forum but you are only get user to user people here. When that happens is when the computer is going from vga to svga. Have you tried a video card to see if that helps.

the board has PCI (yes, the legacy 66mhz port), I do not have a graphics card that will work on PCI, I dont believe there are any manufactured anymore

ok... i just notice the BIOS update permits installing win 7  :o , now.... downloaded the flashing software + bios, it WONT work in win8, and wont boot mini XP, wont load DOS, DOS navigator or similar ....


I'm out of ideas
