BSOD after bios update
« on: May 22, 2014, 08:36:08 am »
As  the title says i updated my bios to the latest available and it started causing me BSOD. In the dumb log it says that the DX causes the BS. It seems i really need help with this cause  i'm really desperate and my AMD driver keeps crashing and recovering.. My MB is Gigabyte H87M-HD3 (updated to F8 bios) and my GPU is Gigabyte R9 280x. Here is the dumb log screen:

Have you tried to uninstall the video driver and re install it?

Were you having problems before the bios update. If not go back a few steps and see what happens.

I didn't. I was using F6 version and my problems were none. What do you mean by go back? To downgrade the bios? Already tried that and it doesn't allow me to do so. It constantly says that the one i'm trying to flash is outdated and doesn't allow me to.

Just tried that and fail once again. It kept saying me that my Image is out of Date. Any other ideas? What if i intentionally corrupt the main bios during flash (pulling the power plug) ? What can that cause and will the backup bios recover the main one?

There is a thread on this and I'll have to find it on how to get around to down grade your bios. Their are new beta bios if you want to try one.

The guy who owns that thread helped me with a program which allowed me to re-flash my old F6 bios back. Here is the program and thank you for your help!
