Z77X-UP5-TH - Won't auto sleep.

I can't seem to get my Z77X-UP5-TH to sleep automatically on timeout.  I can manually tell it to sleep without issue.

I have hybrid sleep enabled in sleep settings.

I ran powercfg /energy and it reports errors with USB preventing it.  I thought it was my Logitech keyboar/mouse combo, but switching to my old Dell USB keyboard/mouse it still doesn't sleep.

I am attaching my energy-report I got from running the powercfg /energy command to see if any can make heads or tails of what is the issue.

also, I tried to disable usb 3.0 in BIOS, but didn't find it.  I however found usb 2.0.

I don't use the sleep functions myself but from my own experiences there have been some issues with USB on this board.

I notice from the report that you are running the F12f BIOS and it might be worthwhile trying the F12g ( http://www.mediafire.com/?2rwff52glqi2kdh ) which is posted over at TweakTown ( http://forums.tweaktown.com/gigabyte/28441-gigabyte-latest-beta-bios.html thanks to Stasio) to see if that helps at all.

I had problems flashing from F12f to F12g with QFlash and had to use @BIOS in the end to get it to update. Not sure if this was another issue with USB or a BIOS glitch with the F12f.

After extensive testing calling in an RMA I noticed when I started removing the motherboard that there is a switch at the edge of the motherboard that slows me to manually switch the dual BIOS, so I switched it and rebooted and it came up with BIOS F4.  I then test the fresh win7 drive I had installed and amazingly it went to sleep with no issue.

I had already tried F11 and I think the board had F9 when new.  So I'm not sure what BIOS sleep was lost, or what features I might lose, but it is now working.

Is there a list of BIOS fixes text files so I can maybe see when this feature may have been lost?

Sadly not and on a personal level I really wish that there was.

Bummer, I guess I'll stick with F4 as I don't notice any isues yet.  If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

I tell that to people all the time on any thing that has to do with a computer. I have a friend that I built a computer for and it is running great.

He wants to update his bios. The problem with most people is that there is a new driver or a new bios update. So they have to have it why?

If you go to Gigabyte and look at the bios updates they only have it from F8 to F12e. The F12e is a beta bios that I would never use till they make official.

Yes, updating a working system is nonsensical in most situations.  Oddly, reverting to an older BIOS fixed my issue. 

Thankfully Gigabyte makes a dual BIOS which allows me to switch to an older BIOS that may have been very difficult to find, or in some cases impossible to revert to an older BIOS.

Hello,

I have the sleep problem too. Is there anyway you can dump the F4 BIOS and email or attach it? I tried the latest beta bios but that did not resolve the sleep problem and also made it impossible to enter the bios after the initial set up.

I flashed back to F11 using @BIOS....

Anyway, I am also having trouble not being able to adjust CPU fan speed, I am trying to open a ticket with gigabyte but am having an awful time trying to read the serial number.

I figured out how to get F4 ... If you look at the URL for the links to all this boards bios they are like this. ..

I am kind of worried to flash that low though as I wonder what improvements or upgrades the other BIOSs brought.
